I have extensive programming experience in business systems in both hardware and software areas in the IT and Oil and Gas industry.  

My 13 years of experience as a SAP senior ABAP  developer/project lead include use of SAP versions 6.40 WAS/6.20/ECC5.0/4.7/4.6/3.1. I have led and supported many projects in developing solutions for a variety of projects.  I developed and rolled out ALRG SAP Security tools across global platforms from a remote location.  I developed an EDI/ALE training and presented it to colleagues. I have designed and developed numerous custom EDI/ALE transactions, IDOC types, extensions, function modules and user exits. As part of the GLOBAL EDI/ALE enterprise technical development team, I helped develop Company EDI standards.  I have in-depth knowledge of SD/MM/PM/FI/CO/APO/BW/Master Data and Manufacture SAP modules.  I have built close relationships with end users and have strong experience in developing ABAP/4 in the areas of new Reports, Function Modules, Interfaces, Online Programs as well as APO/BW, Workflow and SAPScripts. Worked in the Client SAP Integration project.  Using SAP 4.7 and Informatica 7.1.4 along with dot net technology to interface with SAP ALE/EDI and Oracle SQL databases.   Extracted SAP Idoc created from Client SAP IS Oil Module and interfaced with Company Retail system.  Created Order/ Shipment document in Client system as well as loaded data to Oracle database in Company retail system to do optimization calculation.   Worked in Shanghai, China office 6 months provided training in SAP to Shanghai QA employee for Company.

Company C, 1997 to March 2006
Work Assignment and History:   Worked in the highly praised Company world wide SAP R/3 implementation for SAP R3/EDI ALE for SD/MM/FI/CO/Master Data/APO/BW and manufacturing modules involves implementation SAP R/3lifecycle, including WAS (Web Application Sever), FTP, Window NT, UNIX, APO, Business Warehouse, Workflow, ALE, RFC, BDC, performance tuning concept, user exit, function module, data dictionary and SAP Scripts. Developed full cycle of  SD transactions, i.e. Sales Order (850) Sales Order Response (855), Sales Order Change (860), Change Order Response (865), Continuous Order Status (870), Delivery Note(856), Advanced Shipping Notification (Inbound 856), Invoice (Inbound and Outbound plus Turnaround 810), Goods Receipt (861/947) as well as performance tuning on Pricing Catalogue (832).  In FY00 worked on Master data PDM/ VC rule upgrade to 4.6 as well as involved trouble shooting for BOM (Bill of Material) BOMMAT idoc for discrete manufacturing creating  KMAT BOM and  FERT BOM in corporate BOM structure ALE to various site server.  
Was promoted three times after continuous rewards of performance-related stock options and bonuses every year. Participated in the following projects:  
  • Client account create and password reset security tool package – To automate  SAP Security team allow Automatic Logon Request Guide to create new user account and password reset through web application(WAS). The security tool package was rolled out to over 100 SAP client/instances across various platforms and operating systems.
  • Standard Tool Project, I single-handed convinced Client users to cease using their customized tools and in turn set up and trained them on the standard, world-wide tools.  This change required diplomacy to change people's attitudes and mindsets and IT expertise to answer their questions.  At the end of the project, I was recognized by management for my contribution.
  • Customer Login Project – One face to customer to allow customer log in Company system purchase product.  Setup ALE flow between Fusion EMEA and SPE to create sales order (850) as well as change order (860) in SPE and sent order response (855) and change order response (865) to Fusion EMEA to update PO.  Setup RFC to release credit limit or block sales order.   Generated delivery, Picking Packing, and post goods issue as well as sent delivery (856) signal to manufacturing.   A technically challenged project and very successful project implemented with near-zero defect.  Traveled overseas for go-live implementation in May 03.  
  • ESG07 Fusion Data Extract – Led a team of six members and imported 33 programs from Company system to Fusion EMEA and Fusion America to feed inventory and PDM data to Voyager / SPIES / SCITS systems.  Despite an aggressive implementation schedule, numerous environmental issues, and multiple projects on hand, we delivered this project to successful completion for both implementations.  
  • Muju – Set up a Loosely Coupled WMS (Warehouse management System) at DHL hubs in overseas remote locations using messaging standard that was developed by the team to transfer stock from one storage location to another storage location –developed inbound 947 transaction and receive the stock in SAP – developed inbound  861 transaction  in AP Fusion environment.
  • MIGO/COA – Setup workflow to update EQUI table and a custom version of WMMBXY idoc to update IQDC database in NA Fusion Environment.
  • Broadband – The scope of Broadband is to provide the functionality to plan and procure, and allow order fulfillment of ESG products from OEMs / CMs. These may either be Direct Shipped to a customer, partner, distribution center, or sent to a consolidation center.  Developed inbound 855 Order Response functionality in EMEA Fusion environment.  
  • Prophet APO/BW – Participated on the Prophet team learning Business Warehouse for the Planning and forecast system. Developed Reports for Business Warehouse using Bex (Business Explorer) reporting tool.
  • Master Data 4.6 Upgrade – Reviewed, streamlined and reduced the Variant Configuration rules from 13 to 6 message types to improve the performance and reduce future maintenance and upgrades.  By using new techniques to configure each message type, ALE sends the relevant messages to the relevant SAP instances.
  • ESB project – Worked on Material master (MATMAS), Customer master (DEBMAS) and Address Master (ADRSMAS) ALE from GPG to DRE. (4.6 to 4.6).   Worked on BAPI, conversion rule, model maintenance and RFC call.    
  • TMS (Transportation Management System) – Created in 1997 and now applied world wide to track product delivery and transportation. Configured an interface between the SAP Delivery Note upon goods issue generated 856 Idoc and the TMS system which tracks all the delivery / transportation for Company products world wide.
  • GEM (Government Education and Medical) – Created Inbound 856 delivery picking and post goods issue update serial numbers and carton/pallet information for goods delivered from fulfillment partner Client to GEM users.
  • CTO (Configure to Order) – Created Sales Orders (850) and Order Response (855) for Company CTO/BTO orders to provide users with the ability order various combinations of KMAT/ZMOD and Company the ability to build the order without stocking inventory.
  • OMI (Order Management Integration) – Created one focal customer sales order entry point using Invoice (810) during the integration of Digital’s order system and Comapny’s order system.
  • TM/I2 (Transportation Manager) – Created 856 shipping notification from the carriers to TMS system.  
  • OEM Alliance – Developed 810 Invoice Receipt idoc for Company Vendors.
  • North American Consumer Commercial Implementation – Developed 855 CTO order response, 870 order status, 810 Invoice, 856 Delivery note Idocs.  
Company D,  1994 to 1997  
Work Assignment and History:   Provided SAP/EDI applications development for various transactions: Purchase Order (ANSIX12 850) – Outbound, Purchase Order Acknowledgement (855)- Inbound and FI Invoice (810) – Inbound.  I also developed the corporate procurement system for exploration and production operations and was in charge of PREMAS application development and maintenance for handling corporate wide production accounting operations.
  • SAP: Worked on the SAP development team end users and consultants to build Material Master, Asset/Equipment Master, Vendor Master, and Purchase Info records as well as Account Payable modules on SAP R3 system for the corporate SAP R3 applications. Developed interface and conversion programs, using ABAP language, to transfer data from legacy systems such as EFT and Positive Pay to master tables in the new SAP system.  Configured the MM/FI modules for port definition and partner profile to create 850 (PO), 855 (PO Ackowledgement) and 810 (FI Invoice) Idocs, and provided the GEIS Van to Trading Partners for picking-up / dropping-off EDI transactions.
  • PREMAS: Set up a project team to complete the take-over operation from the vendor, the development and maintenance supporting functions, which resulted in an annual savings of $2MM in outside consultant fees, for the PREMAS E&P System. Led a project team to develop a Scadix system for interfacing with Premas.  Also led the effort in developing an EDI program to allow CODE(Crude Oil Data Exchange) data interface.  This DB2/COBOL2/CICS on-line system allowed end users to analyze oil and gas production and to provide regulatory reports at the well completion level in the PREMAS environment.
  • MSR System: Developed a Powerbuilder MSR system to help the management team keep tracking of client’s requests.  The MSR system was a parallel system to the mainframe version of Client’s product TPR system.

Worked for Contract Firm as a Programming Consultant assigned to Client A. My major responsibility was to support development and maintenance of business systems for the JRAS (Joint Revenue Accounting System). Eventually I became an Upstream DBA (Database Administrator).
